New Year's Eve, December 31, the last day of the year and the evening before the first New Year's Day. This is basically a normal day, but often looks like a half working day, in line with Christmas Eve.

In many countries, the day is also called New Year's Eve, after the day of death of the saint of the same name. According to legend, St. Sylvester influenced Emperor Constantine to make Christianity a state religion. New Year's Day (Holiday)

New Year's Day refers to the first day of the new year according to the Gregorian calendar (January 1).
The day often begins with good food, champagne, fireworks and other festivities. January 1 is a public holiday and is also called Jesus' name day.
According to Jewish tradition, boys were circumcised eight days after birth.
Apart from Israel, the day is a public holiday in all countries that follow the Gregorian calendar.
