    Working Naked Day is an annual observance celebrated on February 7 of this year.



    The Working Naked Day has been in celebration since the year 2010. Lisa Kanare, author and home office expert, has created this Day. It was initially celebrated annually on February 1st until 2014. From the following year, the Day has been celebrated on the first Friday of every February.

    The Sami National Day is 6 February. The day is also referred to by some as Sami People's Day and Sami People's Day. The National Day was adopted by the Sami Conference in 1992 and is common to all Sami in Norway, Finland, Sweden and Russia. It was celebrated for the first time in 1993 at the same time as the UN's International Indigenous Year was officially opened in Karasjok.

    Shrove Tuesday (not a public holiday, but always falling on a Sunday)



    Shrove Tuesday will always fall on a Sunday 49 days (7 weeks) before the first day of Easter, ie in the period 1 February to 7 March, (or in leap years 2 February to 7 March).



    The word fastelavn itself comes from the German word vastel-avent which means fasting evening, ie "the evening before fasting".
    The name is pronounced "fastelaven", and is often misspelled as such.
