The Day of Silence is Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN)'s annual day to protest the bullying and harassment of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) students and their supporters. Students make a symbolic vow of secrecy.
The Day of Silence has been held every year in April since 1996. The day is held on the second Friday in April every year.
